RISERVA 1870 "BEST GOLD 2011" produced by a Distilleria d'Eccellenza

"Riserva 1870”, a Grande Invecchiata has been given the title Best Gold d’Italia 2011 at the international Acquaviti d’Oro ANAG competition. Made from the pomace of Teroldego and Cabernet and named in honour of Distilleria G. Bertagnolli’s year of foundation, Riserva 1870 is produced only in the best vintages and in lots of 1870 bottles. The 28th edition of the National Grappa and Acquaviti d’Eccellenza Competition was also used to give a prize to just 7 companies in all of Italy who had distinguished themselves for quality in the period from 2001 to 2010. Distilleria G. Bertagnolli was one of them – given the prize for bringing its Grappas up to a standard of “eccellenza”. Bertagnolli has also been selected to take part in the Made in Italy d’Eccellenza project at an international level by the Ministry for Agricultural Policy. Toasts have also been raised, to great acclaim, using this prestigious product in the Italian Olympic village in Vancouver at the opening of the Winter Olympics, and in Johannesburg for the opening of the football World Cup in the VIP Lounge of the Casa Italia Wine Bar. Riserva 1870 was also an ambassador for Italian style at the international Expo Shanghai 2010 exhibition, being the only Grappa Trentina to be included in architect Giampaolo Imbrighi’s and stage designer Giancarlo Basili’s design for the Italian pavilion called “Life in the city – living Italian style”, where bottles of grappa and wine were displayed as if they were jewels. The famous London auction house, Christies, with branches all over the world, from New York to Tokyo, has selected Riserva 1870 for its forthcoming international events. Recently, Riserva 1870 was the only Italian exhibit at the exclusive Russia event “Elite Spirits, Quality of Life” held in Nizhny Novgorod. 1870 – a Grande Invecchiata with a great history of success and awards already.
